Day 3- Living a new Life
I have loved my new life as a piece of paper! At first it was a scary thought because I was so used to being outside all of the time, but now I am inside of a highschoolers notebook, and I get to see her face every day! She has written some notes on me, and she looks at me a lot, I am guessing because I am such a beautiful white piece of paper, but the other pieces in this notebook tell me otherwise. The end of her school year is approaching, and I fear that she may not need me anymore, but I am prepared for what will happen next.
*Last day of school*
I have been torn out of my home and into the recycling bin in the classroom. There is talk that at the end of the day I will be taken out and put into a dumpter and will have to go to a recycling plant to be made anew. All I am hoping is that this experience is not at tramatic as the first time at the factory.
I am back at the factory and will be made into a new material, which means that I must be special, considering that I have been changed once already. I have to be deinked before I am changed because I have writing all over me. After the deink, I am repupled to remove harmful chemicals, which makes me feel weaker, considering the fact that they are removing the fibers that are holding me together. It is said that I can be recycled up to seven times in my entire life, but after two I already want to quit. Since I am not as strong as I used to be, I will be made into newspaper, gravel, paperboard, or even concrete, which sounds interesting. I am curious to see what will happen next and where my life will take me.

Day 2-In the Factory
I have no idea where I am. It is extremely loud and I am on a moving piece of equitment with some other trees as well. I am being cut up into smaller pieces, like logs, and am being put into something called "Debarking," where I am colliding with all other logs, and it feels as if my bark is being torn from my body, which it is. My bark is then collected and burned as fuel in high power boilers, which is extremely hot! I am extremely uncomfortable and I have no idea what is to come next. After I am finished with the Debarker, I am moved into a chipper, which shreads me into about one inch pieces, which is incredible because I was almost fifty feet tall before! After I am done with the chipper, I am moved into a digester, that pushes me under pressure so much so that I am turned into a wet, oatmeal, pulp material. I have never thought in my entire life that I, such a tough solid, would turn into such a soft liquid, I hope there is not much more to go! I am then cooked again in water to remove unwanted substances inside of me, but I know I do not have anything inside of me that is unwanted! After this step I am pressure cooked for a second time for the fibers to put me back to a whole state, but when I am put back together, I am what is called paper!
Day 1-Leaving My Home
All my life I have been sitting in this giant forest, unable to change the view of my scenery. Day after day, month after month, year after year, I stand in the same area, with no contact besides the creatures that live on or inside of me. I have to endure some rough, frigid winters, to scorching summers, which make my outer layer of bark and my leaves, decay. I do not know if I will ever be able to escape this place, and that haunts me every day of my life..
*Later that day*
I was just taking my afternoon nap when I was awoken by extremely loud machines, and those sounds are accompanied by loud crashes, of what seems to be my fellow Tree friends. This cannot be a good thing, my home is getting ruined, what if I am next? Uh oh...they are coming stright for me, chainsaws in hand! The sap is leaking off my body and I am shaking in my roots. I know I do not like where I live, but I do not know of any other place, this is where I have spent my entire life! They are now in the process of cutting me down, and my life flashes before my eyes. I am falling to the ground as a million thoughts run through my mind. What are they doing? Are they going to chop me to bits? Or even worse, use me for FIRE WOOD!!? Oh no, oh no. These group of people are picking me up with their large machines, and there is talk that I am going to turn into paper, I have heard of this before, but this is all so new. When I am on the truck to bring me to the factory, there are hundreds of other trees with me as well, I wonder what will happen next.
